Motivation

You want to know the formula for success that most people never discover? It’s really is simple: Start taking action, and start taking it now. Motivation gets results, but motivation alone is not enough. Motivation without action is useless. Motivation with action is powerful!

If you don’t feel motivated to do anything, the odds are good that the feeling will pass. Motivation comes in waves. It can come out of nowhere when you least expect it. (It’s like a surprise attack from an enemy!).

Motivation for many things has come into my life at odd moments. It’s given me that extra push to get something done. Inspiration can show up in your life when you least expect it; be prepared.

It is vital to get started doing something right away. Don’t bother telling yourself you will get around to it later. Most successful people are not successful because they have the motivation to start. But instead, because they kept at it long after they got motivated.

How To Develop Motivated Mindset

At some point, each of us will get bored and not want to do anything. We start to lose our enthusiasm for life and become tired, irritable, and not very excited about what we want to do. We don’t want to face the day. We want to hide under the covers instead. The pain and suffering in the world may be too much for you, or you may be tired of the same old things that happen every day.

Ever feel like you could use a boost? Maybe even just to get out of bed in the morning? Or perhaps something more specific, like getting back into shape. You might be thinking, “I know what I need.” But it doesn’t have to be anything drastic or expensive. It can be as simple as making minor changes to your daily routine. That can lead you to feel better about yourself.

You’re not the only one. At some point, everyone goes through a time like this. This is a good thing. We can do something about it.

Here are some things you can do to get out of a rut and start feeling excited about life again:

Take a “Time Out”

Taking too much stress can make us tired and lose our enthusiasm. Take a “time out.” Before you do anything else, take a few breaths and just be. Fill your mind with no stress or worry. If you don’t want to give up, keep going! Gently push the thoughts out of your mind as they come up. Keep your mind empty and calm. Breathe in slowly and deeply, and let all of your muscles loosen up as you do. Sit down and recharge your battery.

Try to do this every day or twice a day (morning and night). The same thing that we need in life is quiet time. Give yourself the gift of peace of mind.

Get Inspired

If you want to change your life, you need to get inspired. Start by reading something motivational, inspirational, or uplifting. Take a look at some beautiful nature photos, or read something that makes you laugh. When you think about something terrible, deliberately move your thoughts to a better place. We can get bored if we only think about work and our daily tasks in life.

If we want to, we can turn it around. Find things that will make us feel better about ourselves and our moods. Aim for a good mood and a good laugh every day. You don’t have to wait for inspiration to come to you. You can go out and find it, or you can make it. Make up some funny or heartwarming memories. In a journal, write them down so you can read them when you’re down and need to cheer up.

Get Excited

We’ve all been there – we’ve all had those days where it feels like we just can’t get motivated to do anything. Maybe it’s because we’re overwhelmed with our work. Perhaps it’s because we don’t really see the point in doing what we’re supposed to be doing. But whatever the reason, it’s essential that we find a way to get moving again.

So how do we do that? Well, let me ask you a question: what made you so excited at the start? What was it that got your heart beating a little faster? Maybe it was a new project at work. Perhaps it was something you were looking forward to doing with your friends, or it was taking on a task at home. Whatever it is, think about that feeling and hold onto it!

Even if your tasks aren’t stimulating, try to think of some good things that come from them. There are many ways that they will help your family, your job, or even your home. Find out what the payoff is, and focus on that. Even simple tasks can have some benefits. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of changing our mindset to see the good in things.

Baby Steps

You’re worried about this project you’ve got to do. It will take a lot of time and effort, and you don’t know where to start. That’s understandable. But you just need to take things one step at a time.

There are times when the most challenging part is getting started. As soon as we think about how much time and energy we’ll have to put into a project, we’re afraid. Instead of overwhelming yourself, start with small steps and build from there. Set a timer for 15 minutes and work on it. Allow yourself to stop after 15 minutes if you really want to, but don’t force yourself.

But most of the time, when we start working on something, we won’t want to stop. Don’t look at the big picture. Instead, look at the more minor details and take them one at a time. The more we break down a big task into smaller steps, the more manageable it seems.

Take Care of Your Body

When you’re feeling run down, it might be because your body isn’t getting enough rest, not your mind. Make sure you get enough sleep, eat food that feeds and fuels your body, drink enough water, exercise, and so on. It can be hard to find time for healthy food when you’re very busy. We often choose the quickest and easiest meals, which isn’t the best choice for our bodies.

People who eat highly processed foods and sugar are like people who put watered-down gasoline in their cars. It’s essential to keep our cars and bodies in good shape to function well. Keep in mind that your body is a means by which you can think and feel.

Reward Yourself

Don’t forget to reward yourself and celebrate achievements, big and small. You work hard, and you deserve a break every now and then. Make sure you do things that make you happy and relax a little bit. Ask for help when you need it, and let someone else take care of things for a change. You don’t have to do everything on your own all the time.

Take a couple of minutes to stop and smell the roses every now and then. Catch some sun, feel the breeze, or whatever else you like to do. Oh yeah! Remember not to be too hard on yourself. There will always be things that need to get done, but remember not to push yourself too hard.

Put It Into Action

Think about how we can choose to be motivated, just like we can choose to be happy. Getting into the right mindset may require us to push ourselves a little at first. Once we’re in the right motivated mindset, it’s easy to stay there if we want to.

Now go out there and do what you’ve gotta do! Motivate yourself by thinking about all the good stuff you’ll get done and how everyone will benefit. I’m sure you’ll feel good about getting all of this done, and that will be the motivation you need to keep going.

I’m sure you’ll feel good about getting all of this done, and that will be the motivation you need to keep going.
